In modern era technology is increasing day by day there are so many benefits of it but some people misuse this technology one of them is Cyber Bullying. When a person uses the internet or technology to target another person by threating, embarrassing, or harassing another person is called cyber-Bullying.

Effects of cyberbullying are more significant as the no. of people as audience are very high even after deleting the post it is preserved in some ways or other.

TYPES OF CYBER BULLYING-

• Harassment- This type of cyberbullying occurs whensomeone uses texts or other methods to get the person in trouble even when they are not doing any wrong. Methods used for harassing are sub tweeting and vague booking

• Impersonation- In this type of bullying one person impersonates another person they post sexual, racist or other inappropriate content to ruin the reputation. Generally, they develop screen name or similar account to the target name and then post rude or hurtful content while pretending to be target. Commonly seen method is catfishing.

• Inappropriate Photographs- In some cases people use some photograph to bully or shame other people. It includes embarrassing or inappropriate images. this behavior is often called “sexting” they then start controlling or blackmailing the victim and they sometime engage in slut shaming.

• Website Creation- Sometimes, cyberbullies create website, blog or poll to harass another person. They conduct poll about the target and include very harsh question and humiliating them by spreading rumors and telling lies or gossiping about victim online through website or blogs.

• Video Shaming- Videos are one of the most used methods of bullying any one since every one has phone now a days the record videos of any incident that make the target emotional or upset and then upload it on social media platform which can cause the embarrassment or bullying of the target most commonly known as cyber baiting.

• Mental and physical effect- It leads to increase of stress causing them to suffer from frustration leading to depression or indulging in harmful activities

• Isolation- Victim mostly start to isolate themselves as they fear to share the information or talk with stranger.

• Suicide- High effect of cyber bullying led their victim to attempt suicide as they think that to end the problem the best option, they have is suicide.

• Illness- The effect cyber bullying has on the on the mental and physical health of a person lead them to suffer from different type of illness like anxiety attack, hypertension, insomnia etc.

RESPONSE TO CYBER BULLYING-

• Report – People often start to respond to the cyberbullying or start to give explanation to every person which fulfills the goal of the person bullying. So, the victim should report the incident rather than responding to it.

• Documentation- The victim should save the evidences of the photo, video, post or anything that cyber bullies are using so, that if victim wants, they can take legal action against the bully. In case it involves the sexual content after submission of it as evidence it should be deleted right away.

Police- If the bullying includes a serious crime or threat to do such kind of crime and the authorities of any organization is not responding to it properly the victim or guardian of any minor can take the involvement of the police in such kind of incident.
