OVERVIEW

A court marriage is covered under special marriage act, 1954 it can be done anywhere across the nation. There is no discrimination on the basis of caste, color, religion or creed. The marriage is done between inter- caste and inter- religion. The parties have to apply the marriage for marriage registrar and after marriage they get certificate.

Eligibility

The bride should be of at least 18 years old

The groom should be of at least 21 years old

Both bride and groom should be of sound mind

Both bride and groom should be able to give valid consent

Both parties should be mentally stable

Both the parties should not fall under the provision of prohibited relationship.
